BUSHA BROWNE'S SPICY CHUTNEYS
Chutney from the Hindu word 'chatni', meaning taste, is a mixture of spicy
fruits and vegetables designed to add a piquant/sweet flavour to whatever dish
takes your fancy and should not be confined to eating with the traditional
curry. In Jamaica no meal is complete without its accompanying jars of hot
pickles and spicy chutneys. Busha Browne's chutneys are delicious served with
cold meats, poultry or game. they are also particularly good with hot dogs or
hamburgers.
BANANA CHUTNEY, 12 oz
According to Hindu legend, Eve first tempted Adam with the fruit of the banana
tree, giving rise to the popular names Adam's Figtree and Paradise Banana.
Busha Browne's banana chutney is just as tempting. Try adding a teaspoon to
an icy cold mulligatawny soup -- or a good dollop in a tuna fish sandwich.
