BUSHA BROWNE'S SPICY CHUTNEYS
Chutney, from the Hindu word 'chatni', meaning taste, is a mixture of spicy
fruits and vegetables designed to add a piquant/sweet flavour to whatever dish
takes your fancy and should not be confined to eating with the traditional
curry. In Jamaica no meal is complete without its accompanying jars of hot
pickles and spicy chutneys. Busha Browne's chutneys are delicious served with
cold meats, poultry or game. They are also particularly good with hot dogs or
hamburgers.
SPICY FRUIT CHUTNEY, 12 oz
A blend of mangoes such as the kidney mango, the prized No. 11 and the black
mango (known locally as the 'blackie'), exotically combined with Jamaican
ginger and spices. It adds a delicious spicy flavour to home-made stews and
is sensational in a cream cheese sandwich.
