Are you currently drinking some Fair Trade, Rainforest Certified, Single Origin, Direct Farm to Roaster, Shade-Grown, Microlot coffee that comes with a full biography, pictures of the farmhands that picked it, and an explanation of the cherry processing detailed enough that you could probably do it yourself?

Well, we have some fantastic shade-grown, single origin coffees that we paid the growers well more than the going-rate (kind of like Fair Trade, but the grower gets all the money and none goes to a “certifier”). Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee has been getting better and better and is about as close to the perfect coffee as you can get. Yes it is expensive, but we think you will taste why.

These coffees are smooth and extremely well-balanced with moderate acidity, and both our Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffees have some floral to the nose and fruit to the taste. The Clifton Mount has some chocolate overtones to boot. The Wallenford is somewhat brighter and fruitier to the taste, a wonderful coffee to wake up to.

We also were paying growers more than the going rate for their best coffee before Fair Trade had been thought of. Why? Because we want the good growers to stay in business and keep selling us their best beans. We have an excellent selection of single origin and blended coffees that you will enjoy.
