Clifton Mount Estate is located in the heart of Jamaica's Blue Mountains on the cool and misty slopes of Catherine's Peak. One of the oldest coffee plantations in Jamaica, Clifton Mount has been producing beans of rare quality and aroma since the 1790's. Encouraged by John Martinez, in 2004, a mill was built to process the coffee on the property so that it could be offered as an estate coffee.

Hawaiian Kona coffee, America's world renowned coffee, is grown in the Kona district of the big island - Hawaii. Our estate Kona coffee is grown on an ahupua’a (land division) named Honaunau. Here, a group of dedicated small farmers grow Kona coffee on the big island at elevations ranging from fourteen hundred to two thousand feet. Pockets of rich volcanic soil nurture the coffee trees that produce the delightful Hawaiian Kona coffee. This is a complex, well balanced coffee - one to be savoured. We take pride in offering only the best Kona coffee. When you purchase Kona coffee from J. Martinez & Company, you will always receive pure Kona coffee from Hawaii, not a Kona coffee blend, which may contain as little as ten percent actual Kona beans. Baronhall Estate is located in the central mountains of Jamaica. Formerly known as Broomhall Estate, the land once formed part of a land grant by Charles II of England to Baron Penrhyn. The coffee from Baronhall Estate is smooth and clean tasting with light acidity, good body and a pleasant aroma. Not as sophisticated as Jamaica's world famous Blue Mountain coffee -- it is a good buy at almost one half the price!

This naturally-processed coffee is a superb example of what some of the younger growers in Brazil's Cerrado Mineiro region are doing. This coffee is distinguished by chocolate flavors in the nose and the taste. The taste is characterized by red fruit flavors overlaid on semi-sweet chocolate; these flavors combined with a rich mouth-feel, long finish and medium acidity makes for a great coffee.

Colombia is the world's second largest producer of coffee and it was several years before we found one that we would put our name to. This Nariño comes from a handful of farms in the vicinity of Pasto, high in the Colombian Andes, and is carefully processed. It has more acidity, body, and flavour than other Colombians.

Coffee from the Dota region has a small, exceptionally dense bean. This translates into a very full-bodied cup. It is the most full-bodied Costa Rican that we offer. Dota has a taste that is unlike any other Costa Rican with a hint of chocolate. Very good value.

This coffee has a sweet aroma like the Costa Rican magnolia for which it was named. High acidity provides a lively snap that makes this a good morning coffee with a bright cup. The fertile volcanic soil in the region around Guatemala's old capital, Antigua, gives this high-grown coffee a soft richness with a slightly sweet and smoky aftertaste. It is a smooth and very well balanced cup.

This coffee was first offered to consumers in the United States by J. Martinez & Company. Coffees from the Dominican Republic are mainly exported to Europe, where they are enjoyed either Dark or French roasted. This well-balanced coffee is very accommodating - it lends itself to many things. A good all-purpose coffee.
